Text Mining with Voyant
Sometimes you have some survey data that needs qualitative analysis. With Text Mining tool, you can see word frequencies and correlations
Gettings started
To use Voyant head to https://voyant-tools.org/ and paste your text data, or upload in several files. This is preferred if you have answers from several questions in a survey. Copy each set of answers (copying excel column in survey result export) to a separate text file, and upload all of them. Each will be a separate document in Voyant
Stop words
As you will notice, there are many words detected which are not that interesting: this, or, but etc. These are called stop words and we want to filter them out. To do this, head to cirrus options and select stop words language from dropdown, or upload your own list (you can find them on the internet). See below:
